DOLLAR TREE DIY MULTIPURPOSE WALL AND TABLETOP ORGANIZER | CRAFT ROOM ORGANIZER | DIY SPICE RACK

Welcome to LifeDIYJosie!

Welcome back to another edition of Thrifty Thursdays! As the creative force behind LifeDIYJosie, I’ve always believed that amazing projects don’t have to come with a hefty price tag. Each Thursday, I dive into the world of thrifted treasures and DIY magic, showcasing how you can transform everyday items into stylish and functional decor.

This week, I’m excited to share a project featuring:

  • 2 Dollar Tree cabinet shelves or risers
  • 4 large Dollar Tree organization wire baskets
  • 20 pieces of large zip ties
  • Scissors or wire cutters
  • Optional: Hot glue gun and glue sticks for added reinforcement

In this project, we’ll create a stylish storage solution that elevates your organization game. It’s perfect for decluttering any room in your home!

Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace

Set up a clean, flat workspace where you can lay out your materials. This will help you visualize the final product and make the assembly process smoother.

Step 2: Arrange Your Shelves

Place the two cabinet shelves or risers parallel to each other on your workspace. Decide how you want to position the wire baskets—either stacked or side by side—depending on your storage needs.

Step 3: Position the Wire Baskets

Take the four rectangular wire baskets and position them on top of the shelves. If you're stacking them, consider placing two baskets on each shelf, or arrange them in a way that suits your space. Make sure they are stable and evenly spaced.

Step 4: Secure the Baskets

Using the large zip ties, secure the wire baskets to the shelves.

  1. Insert a zip tie through the bottom of a basket, looping it around the shelf.
  2. Pull the zip tie tight to hold the basket in place.
  3. Repeat this process for each basket, ensuring they are securely attached.
  4. Trim any excess zip tie material with scissors or wire cutters.

Step 5: Reinforce Connections (Optional)

For extra stability, you can use a hot glue gun to reinforce the connections between the baskets and shelves. Apply a small amount of glue where the baskets meet the shelves and allow it to dry completely.

Step 6: Final Touches

Once everything is securely attached, give your new storage solution a gentle shake to ensure stability. Now it’s time to fill the baskets! Organize your items—whether it’s craft supplies, toys, or office materials—in a way that makes sense for you.

Step 7: Style Your Space

Consider adding decorative elements around your new storage solution, such as plants, books, or photos, to enhance its visual appeal.

Watch the video below for a visual aid.

Enjoy Your DIY!

Congratulations on creating a functional and stylish storage solution! This project not only helps you declutter your space but also showcases your creativity and resourcefulness. If you try this DIY, I’d love to see how it turns out—feel free to share your photos in the comments! Happy crafting!

Whether you're a seasoned DIYer or just looking to spruce up your space without breaking the bank, there’s something here for everyone. This week, we’ll be using some fantastic materials: a Dollar Tree rectangular shallow gold metal wire tray basket, two square deep metal wire baskets, five large zip ties, and a trusty pair of scissors. Together, we’ll transform these items into something practical and stylish for your home.

Join me on this creative adventure, and let’s make magic happen together—one thrifted find at a time!

Step 1: Arrange the Baskets

Start by positioning the rectangular shallow gold metal wire tray basket in the center of your workspace. Take the two square deep metal wire baskets and place them on either side of the rectangular tray. This arrangement will create a stylish and functional storage solution.

Step 2: Secure the Baskets

Once you’re happy with the layout, it’s time to secure the baskets together. Use the large zip ties to attach each square deep basket to the rectangular tray.

  1. Insert a zip tie through the side of one square deep basket and loop it around the tray basket.
  2. Pull the zip tie tight to ensure a secure connection.
  3. Trim any excess zip tie material with scissors.
  4. Repeat this process for the second square deep basket.

Step 3: Final Touches

Once everything is secured, give your new organizer a little shake to ensure everything is stable. You can now fill your baskets with items like craft supplies, kitchen utensils, or even small plants for a pop of greenery. You can also use it as an organizer for your towels, a place to store food produce and it can also be used for your hot drink station. The possibilities are endless.

DIY DOLLAR TREE PAPER TRAY HACKS || THRIFTY THURSDAY || DIY CRAFT ROOM & BATHROOM ORGANIZATION IDEAS

Hello everyone! LifeDIYJosie here! Where life means Low-budget Ideas for Everyone! Today is Thrifty Thursday where I do a throwback of one low-budget idea every Thursday.

Here are the materials that we are going to need to make this DIY Project:

Dollar Tree paper trays

Dollar Tree bins/baskets

Scissors

Glue gun and hot glue

Zip ties

Let's get started!

  • Get two identical paper trays
  • Place one right side up and apply hot glue on it's top frame as shown here:

  • Invert the second tray and place it on top of the first tray that you applied glue on. Make sure to apply enough pressure to adhere the two trays.
  • Reinforce the two adhered trays with zip ties. The four corners have built-in holes that align. This will be the perfect spot to place your zip ties.

  • You can use this as a free-standing vinyl organizer
  • You can also use this as a drawer style organizer

  • You can also add another container on top of it to make it a two-tier organizer.

  • Since the possibilities are endless on this specific project, you can add another pair of paper trays and put them on top of each other. Then add other bins inside to make a muti-tiered drawer organizer!

  • And that is it! You can set this up to suit your needs. You can use it for your hot drink station, as an organizer under the sink, or even as an organizer in your home office.
If you are interested in how I set this up for personal use, refer to the video I have added to this blog.

As always, thank you so much for the support! For other videos about DIY projects, you can visit my YouTube channel LifeDIYJosie, where LIFE means Low-budget Ideas for Everyone! Until next time! Bye!

DIY Multipurpose Organizer Caddy Using Dollar Tree Shower Caddies and Cooling Racks

Hey, DIYers! It's Josie from LifeDIYJosie, where I share low-budget ideas for everyone. Today, I've got a fun project that's both practical and easy on the wallet – a Multipurpose Organizer Caddy made from Dollar Tree shower caddies and cooling racks. Let's dive right in!

Materials:

  • 2 Dollar Tree shower caddies

  • 2 Dollar Tree Treeskinny baskets

  • 4 Dollar Tree cooling racks

  • Zip ties

  • Scissors

Step 1: Attaching the Cooling Racks First things first, we'll attach the cooling racks to the bottom of the shower caddies. Using zip ties, secure the cooling rack to the bottom of each caddy. Don't tighten the zip ties completely at first; this will allow you to make adjustments as needed. Once you're satisfied with the positioning, tighten the zip ties securely.

Tip: Start with the center cooling rack for easier attachment and adjustment.

Step 2: Adding the Treeskinny Baskets Next, we'll incorporate the Treeskinny baskets into our organizer caddy. Simply place them inside the shower caddies, ensuring a snug fit. These baskets will provide additional storage space for smaller items, keeping everything neat and organized.

Step 3: Finishing Touches Once all the components are in place, take a moment to admire your handiwork! The cooling racks provide sturdy support for larger items, while the baskets offer convenient storage for smaller essentials. Feel free to customize your organizer caddy with paint or embellishments to suit your style.

Step 4: Adding an Optional Handle Want to make your Multipurpose Organizer Caddy even more convenient to carry around? Let's add a handle! For this step, I used a 10-inch tension rod and secured it to the sides of the caddy using zip ties. This simple addition allows you to easily transport your caddy from room to room with ease.

Tip: Get creative with your handle choice! Consider using wooden dowel rods, Dollar Tree toilet plunger handles, floor mop handles, or even curtain rods.

Step 5: Enjoy Your Versatile Organizer Caddy And there you have it – a versatile Multipurpose Organizer Caddy made from affordable Dollar Tree finds! Whether you use it in the bathroom, kitchen, or anywhere else in your home, this DIY project is sure to come in handy. Organizing Kitchen Drawers for Free: A DIY Guide

Hey everyone! It's Josie, also known as LifeDIYJosie on YouTube, and welcome to my second channel, Josie's Sanctuary. In today's video, I'm excited to share with you how I organized my kitchen drawers without spending a dime. If you're a fan of reusing and repurposing items, you're in for a treat!

Organizing the First Drawer: The first drawer I tackled was the one next to my wall oven, where I store aluminum foil, parchment papers, plastic wraps, and sandwich bags. After clearing out the contents, I gave the drawer a good wipe-down. Utilizing packaging boxes as organizers, I separated and arranged the items neatly. Repurposing shallow boxes not only fits well but also helps in keeping things tidy. Remember to disinfect the boxes before using them!

Organizing the Big Drawer:
Moving on to the big drawer under the wall oven, which houses baking dishes, pans, oven mitts, and kitchen towels. Following the same routine, I cleaned the drawer and used packaging as makeshift drawer liners. This not only protects the drawer but also safeguards breakable items. Adding a shallow box within the drawer helped in organizing kitchen towels efficiently.

Creating Space for Large Items:
Dealing with bulky items like my loaf cutter, I repurposed the utility drawer to accommodate it along with batteries, cords, paper clips, and tacks. Transferring the contents of the utility drawer to the adjacent one freed up space, turning it into my new utility drawer.

Organizing Eating Utensils:
For the eating utensils drawer, I opted for a wooden organizer to keep things orderly. Using a small food container, I designated a space for less frequently used utensils, ensuring everything has its place.

And there you have it, folks! With a little creativity and resourcefulness, organizing your kitchen drawers doesn't have to break the bank. I hope you found these tips helpful in transforming your kitchen space. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more DIY organization ideas. Until next time, happy organizing!
