Hi there, welcome to my blog! My name is Josie, also known by my YouTube channel-- LifeDIYJosie, also known as LifeAt50&Beyond, where I share with viewers do-it-yourself projects that are easy on the budget. 

Why the new channel name?

In 2020, I changed my YouTube handle to LifeDIYJosie to avoid confusing the younger generations that my channel is about senior living or life at 50 and beyond. Although, there is nothing really wrong with that, I believe my new YouTube handle represents better what my channel is all about and that all people from any background and generation are welcome. 

Life does not only mean life in its original sense but also stands for:

I am also an avid DIYer. Coming from a middle-class upbringing, I grew up being resourceful that’s why I usually make things instead of buying them. I only buy things if I know I can’t make something similar at a lower price. I do mostly affordable, practical, and easy DIYs using dollar store and thrifted (second-hand) items. Hence, my slogan-- "If you can't afford it...make it!"

My favorite projects are organizers, home decors, journals, and planners!  Occasionally, I also do haul videos and product reviews.
