DIY Multipurpose Organizer Caddy Using Dollar Tree Shower Caddies and Cooling Racks

Hey, DIYers! It's Josie from LifeDIYJosie, where I share low-budget ideas for everyone. Today, I've got a fun project that's both practical and easy on the wallet – a Multipurpose Organizer Caddy made from Dollar Tree shower caddies and cooling racks. Let's dive right in!

Materials:

  • 2 Dollar Tree shower caddies

  • 2 Dollar Tree Treeskinny baskets

  • 4 Dollar Tree cooling racks

  • Zip ties

  • Scissors

Step 1: Attaching the Cooling Racks First things first, we'll attach the cooling racks to the bottom of the shower caddies. Using zip ties, secure the cooling rack to the bottom of each caddy. Don't tighten the zip ties completely at first; this will allow you to make adjustments as needed. Once you're satisfied with the positioning, tighten the zip ties securely.

Tip: Start with the center cooling rack for easier attachment and adjustment.

Step 2: Adding the Treeskinny Baskets Next, we'll incorporate the Treeskinny baskets into our organizer caddy. Simply place them inside the shower caddies, ensuring a snug fit. These baskets will provide additional storage space for smaller items, keeping everything neat and organized.

Step 3: Finishing Touches Once all the components are in place, take a moment to admire your handiwork! The cooling racks provide sturdy support for larger items, while the baskets offer convenient storage for smaller essentials. Feel free to customize your organizer caddy with paint or embellishments to suit your style.

Feel free to customize your organizer caddy with paint or embellishments to suit your style.

Step 4: Adding an Optional Handle Want to make your Multipurpose Organizer Caddy even more convenient to carry around? Let's add a handle! For this step, I used a 10-inch tension rod and secured it to the sides of the caddy using zip ties. This simple addition allows you to easily transport your caddy from room to room with ease.

Tip: Get creative with your handle choice! Consider using wooden dowel rods, Dollar Tree toilet plunger handles, floor mop handles, or even curtain rods.

Whether you use it in the bathroom, kitchen, or anywhere else in your home, this DIY project is sure to come in handy. Organizing Kitchen Drawers for Free: A DIY Guide

Hey everyone! It's Josie, also known as LifeDIYJosie on YouTube, and welcome to my second channel, Josie's Sanctuary. In today's video, I'm excited to share with you how I organized my kitchen drawers without spending a dime. If you're a fan of reusing and repurposing items, you're in for a treat!

Organizing the First Drawer: The first drawer I tackled was the one next to my wall oven, where I store aluminum foil, parchment papers, plastic wraps, and sandwich bags. After clearing out the contents, I gave the drawer a good wipe-down. Utilizing packaging boxes as organizers, I separated and arranged the items neatly. Repurposing shallow boxes not only fits well but also helps in keeping things tidy. Remember to disinfect the boxes before using them!

Organizing the Big Drawer:
Moving on to the big drawer under the wall oven, which houses baking dishes, pans, oven mitts, and kitchen towels. Following the same routine, I cleaned the drawer and used packaging as makeshift drawer liners. This not only protects the drawer but also safeguards breakable items. Adding a shallow box within the drawer helped in organizing kitchen towels efficiently.

Creating Space for Large Items:
Dealing with bulky items like my loaf cutter, I repurposed the utility drawer to accommodate it along with batteries, cords, paper clips, and tacks. Transferring the contents of the utility drawer to the adjacent one freed up space, turning it into my new utility drawer.

Organizing Eating Utensils:
For the eating utensils drawer, I opted for a wooden organizer to keep things orderly. Using a small food container, I designated a space for less frequently used utensils, ensuring everything has its place.

And there you have it, folks! With a little creativity and resourcefulness, organizing your kitchen drawers doesn't have to break the bank. I hope you found these tips helpful in transforming your kitchen space. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more DIY organization ideas. Until next time, happy organizing!

Revamping My Backyard Oasis: A Flagstone Paver Transformation

Hey there, fellow DIY enthusiasts! It's Josie, aka LifeDIYJosie, back with another adventure from Josie's Sanctuary. Today, I'm thrilled to share with you the behind-the-scenes journey of how I transformed my neglected backyard into a picturesque sanctuary, complete with beautiful flagstone pavers.

As the seasons shifted and the sun finally graced us with its presence, I found myself itching to breathe new life into my outdoor space. Months of neglect had left my backyard looking worse for wear, with overgrown grass, stubborn weeds, and a general air of disarray.

But where others might see chaos, I saw potential. Armed with determination and a vision for a backyard oasis, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. The first order of business? Taming the wild jungle of weeds that had taken over my yard.

With my trusty shears in hand, I set to work, methodically clearing away the tangled mess and reclaiming precious ground inch by inch. It was a labor of love, each weed pulled bringing me one step closer to my vision of a serene outdoor retreat.

But no backyard makeover would be complete without a touch of elegance, which is where the flagstone pavers come into play. Inspired by the timeless beauty of natural stone, I decided to install flagstone pavers to create a stunning patio area that would serve as the focal point of my backyard oasis.

The process wasn't without its challenges, of course. From excavating the area to laying the pavers with precision, it was a true test of my DIY skills. But with each stone carefully placed, I could see my vision coming to life before my eyes.

And let me tell you, the end result was well worth the effort. The flagstone patio now serves as the perfect spot for al fresco dining, morning coffee, or simply basking in the beauty of nature. It's a testament to the power of DIY and the transformative magic of a little elbow grease.

So there you have it, folks: the story of how I turned my neglected backyard into a stunning sanctuary with the help of flagstone pavers. If you're feeling inspired to tackle your own outdoor makeover, remember this: with a little creativity and a lot of determination, anything is possible.

Until next time, happy DIYing!

Yours in creativity,

Josie (LifeDIYJosie)

Adding sprinklers, planting roses, building an arbor and birdbath GARDEN CHRONICLES SECRET GARDEN

Welcome to Josie's Sanctuary! My name is Josie, and I'm thrilled to share with you the transformation of my backyard into a serene oasis. Join me as I recount the journey of adding sprinklers, planting roses, building an arbor, and installing a birdbath, turning an ordinary outdoor space into a haven of beauty and tranquility.

The journey began with a vision of creating a sanctuary right in my backyard. I spent countless hours researching and planning the layout, ensuring that every element would harmonize seamlessly with nature.

With the vision firmly in place, it was time to roll up my sleeves and get to work. Installing the sprinklers required careful measurement and precise placement to ensure optimal coverage. Planting the roses was a labor of love, each bloom carefully selected to add color and fragrance to the garden. Building the arbor was a challenging yet rewarding endeavor, with each piece coming together to create a stunning focal point. And finally, the birdbath was installed, inviting feathered friends to frolic and drink amidst the greenery.

Choosing the right plants for Josie's Sanctuary was essential to its success. I opted for a variety of roses, including climbers and shrubs, selected for their beauty and resilience. Native plants were also incorporated to attract pollinators and support local wildlife, adding to the ecosystem of the garden.

Arbor Construction:

The arbor serves as the centerpiece of Josie's Sanctuary, providing a charming entrance into the garden. Constructed from sturdy wood and adorned with climbing vines, it offers a sense of enchantment and whimsy, inviting visitors to explore further.

Birdbath Installation:

The birdbath was more than just a decorative feature; it was a vital source of water for the birds that frequent my garden. Its installation was a straightforward process, yet its impact on the ecosystem was profound. Now, the melodious chirping of birds fills the air as they splash and play in their newfound oasis.

Caring for Josie's Sanctuary is a labor of love. Regular watering, pruning, and upkeep are essential to ensuring that the garden remains vibrant and healthy. But the rewards far outweigh the effort, as each blossom and bird brings joy and fulfillment to my soul.

Enjoying the Fruits of Your Labor:

As I sit amidst the roses, listening to the gentle trickle of water from the birdbath, I am filled with gratitude for the transformation that has taken place. Josie's Sanctuary is more than just a garden; it is a refuge from the chaos of the world, a place of peace and serenity that I am grateful to call my own.

Thank you for joining me on this journey of transformation. I hope that my experience inspires you to embark on your own backyard project, turning your outdoor space into a sanctuary of your own. May your garden be filled with beauty, joy, and the sweet melodies of nature. As always, you can watch the video by clicking on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqkLbslcM4w&t=12s
