Hey everyone! It's Josie, also known as LifeDIYJosie on YouTube, and welcome to my second channel, Josie's Sanctuary. In today's video, I'm excited to share with you how I organized my kitchen drawers without spending a dime. If you're a fan of reusing and repurposing items, you're in for a treat!
Organizing the First Drawer: The first drawer I tackled was the one next to my wall oven, where I store aluminum foil, parchment papers, plastic wraps, and sandwich bags. After clearing out the contents, I gave the drawer a good wipe-down. Utilizing packaging boxes as organizers, I separated and arranged the items neatly. Repurposing shallow boxes not only fits well but also helps in keeping things tidy. Remember to disinfect the boxes before using them!
Organizing
the Big Drawer: Moving on to the big drawer under the
wall oven, which houses baking dishes, pans, oven mitts, and kitchen
towels. Following the same routine, I cleaned the drawer and used
packaging as makeshift drawer liners. This not only protects the
drawer but also safeguards breakable items. Adding a shallow box
within the drawer helped in organizing kitchen towels efficiently.
Creating
Space for Large Items: Dealing with bulky items like my
loaf cutter, I repurposed the utility drawer to accommodate it along
with batteries, cords, paper clips, and tacks. Transferring the
contents of the utility drawer to the adjacent one freed up space,
turning it into my new utility drawer.
Organizing
Eating Utensils: For the eating utensils drawer, I opted
for a wooden organizer to keep things orderly. Using a small food
container, I designated a space for less frequently used utensils,
ensuring everything has its place.
And there you have it, folks! With a little creativity and resourcefulness, organizing your kitchen drawers doesn't have to break the bank.
