Hello, fellow DIY enthusiasts! Josie here, from LifeDIYJosie, bringing you two creative and budget-friendly home decor hacks that are as functional as they are stylish. Using simple materials from Dollar Tree, I’ve crafted two stunning side storage tables that can suit either a rustic farmhouse or glam modern aesthetic. Let’s dive right in!

DIY 1: Rustic Style Side Storage Table

This rustic-inspired side storage table combines functionality and charm, perfect for adding a cozy touch to your living space.

Materials You'll Need:

  • 1 Dollar Tree wire wreath form
  • 2 Dollar Tree wire wastebaskets
  • Zip ties
  • Scissors or wire cutter
  • 1 Dollar Tree round metal pizza tray
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Optional Accessories:

  • Red and white laundry strings or nautical rope
  • Dollar Tree USA flag
  • Dollar Tree USA heart wand

Instructions:

  1. Create the Frame: Attach the two wastebaskets together using zip ties to form a cylinder. Ensure the edges align seamlessly.
  2. Add the Wreath Base: Secure the wire wreath form to the top of the cylinder using zip ties, creating a sturdy frame for the top surface.
  3. Secure the Top: Place the metal pizza tray on top and fix it with hot glue for a stable tabletop surface.
  4. Add the Rustic Flair: Wrap nautical rope or red and white laundry string around the base and top of the cylinder for a charming farmhouse look.
  5. Decorate: Attach the USA flag and heart wand to add a personalized rustic touch.

DIY 2: Glam or Modern Style Side Storage Table

If you’re into sleek, modern designs with a bit of sparkle, this glam-inspired table is the perfect addition to your decor.

Materials You'll Need:

  • 1 Dollar Tree wire wreath form
  • 2 Dollar Tree wire wastebaskets
  • Zip ties
  • Scissors or wire cutter
  • 1 Dollar Tree round acrylic glass serving tray
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Optional Accessories:

  • Diamond wrap or bling ribbon

Instructions:

  1. Assemble the Frame: Just like the rustic version, zip tie the two wastebaskets together to form a cylinder.
  2. Attach the Wreath Base: Secure the wire wreath form to the top using zip ties.
  3. Fix the Tray: Place the acrylic serving tray on top and secure it with hot glue. This creates a chic and durable tabletop.
  4. Add Glam Touches: Wrap the diamond wrap or bling ribbon around the cylinder for a luxurious feel. Focus on the edges and middle section for balance.

Tips for Both DIY Projects:

  • Be sure to pull the zip ties tightly for a secure and stable structure.
  • Consider spray painting the wastebaskets or trays if you want a custom color palette.
  • Use the table as a bedside organizer, a living room decor piece, or even as an outdoor accent for patio spaces.
